Do I need a physician to start receiving home health care services?

Yes. At Trusted Quality Home Health, we require a physician’s prescription in order to begin home health care services.

When should I consider home health care?

Home health care can be a highly beneficial alternative to inpatient care at a hospital or medical facility if you or a loved one has recently had surgery, is undergoing cancer treatment, has been diagnosed with a serious medical condition, is recovering from a serious injury, or is otherwise in need of professional care.

Will you work with my doctor to treat my condition?

Our Los Angeles home health care professionals work closely with our patient’s physicians to make sure we provide the exact care prescribed. We will coordinate with your doctor to make sure he or she is informed of any changes or improvements in your condition. The goal is to promote your safety and health by following your doctor’s orders – all in the comfort of your own home.

What’s the difference between Private Duty nursing and Home Health Nursing?

Private-duty nursing is shift care by RNs and LVNs in a home that’s paid for privately by the patient, while skilled nursing through home health is paid for by insurance. The services provided are very similar, but the main differences are private pay, insurance pay, and intermittent visits vs shift care. Call us to inquire more information.

What qualifies a person for home health care?

Medicare pays for skilled services, such as nursing and therapy in the home, when there is a skilled need and the patient is homebound. In order to qualify for home health service benefits, the patient must be under the care of a doctor who certifies the individual needs intermittent skilled nursing care, physical therapy, speech-language pathology services, or continued occupational therapy. A doctor also must certify that the patient is homebound.
